Lottie Bertello is a Peruvian-American interdisciplinary artist based in North Carolina. Working across painting, textiles, sewing, and garment construction, she uses clothing as both subject and material to explore memory, migration, identity, and cultural inheritance.

Bertello earned a B.F.A. in Fashion Design with a minor in Fibers from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her background in fashion and textile design informs her process of deconstructing, painting, sewing, and reconstructing garments into increasingly tactile and sculptural works.

Her work has been exhibited at Artspace in Raleigh and Zhou B Arts Center in Chicago.

Prior to focusing on her studio practice, Bertello worked as a fashion designer and founded LOTI, an independent clothing label centered on upcycling, Peruvian heritage, and artisanal craft. LOTI received editorial recognition from publications including Vogue México, Forbes, and Harper’s Bazaar.
